Take it easy
Chiara mi chiese di fotografarla.
Sarebbe stato il regalo di Manuel, il suo ragazzo, per il suo 27esimo compleanno.
Mi mandò una mail che recitava, togliendo le parti troppo private, più o meno questo :
"(...)Ti dico quello che di me non si vede. Cosa sono io per me perché le foto sono soprattutto per me.(...)Una persona in continua confusione che apparentemente ha tutto sotto controllo, ma che ogni tre anni vorrebber prendere tutto e scappare (...). Una persona che ha degli altissimi e dei bassissimi, non ci sono vie di mezzo. (...)
Quello che vorrei tenere stampato dei miei 27 anni sono le emozioni che sento.
Io vivo in una sorta di linea del tempo... e so esattamente cosa facevo con chi in che modo e cosa sentivo, ora non scrivo più ma tu puoi farmi delle foto.

Vedo me distesa sul letto(...) vedo me molto arrabbiata in mezzo ad un bordello -- Born Free M.I.A.
Vedo me con sguardo fisso in piedi davanti alla camera piena di boni propositi tutta d'un pezzo - Youth Matishyau o con le ciglia finte prima di una serata (...) e dove l'egoismo è la miglior soluzioni a tutti i problemi -- Moloko The time is now.
E si vedo le espressioni del mio viso, ne faccio tante ma io non le vedo mai. Le vedete voi.
Vorrei che si vedessero questi 6 kg che ho perso per ricordarmi che la costanza esiste anche in me."
Come non essere entusiasta di avere questa missione. Ma come per tutte le missioni c'è anche la paura del fallimento e la mia era quella di non riuscire a esprimere l'eclettismo di Chiara.

Lo è sempre in modo diverso.
Non ho ascoltato i suoi suggerimenti sulle pose, non abbiamo ascoltato le canzoni che lei suggeriva ma ci siamo chiuse in casa. Io, lei, due donne che in quella giornata si sono avvicinate in modo intimo come non avevano fatto prima di allora,nonostante si fossero frequentate. E tanta musica.
Dal momento della pausa con il tè e i biscotti al cocco, la macchina fotografica appoggiata al tavolo e lei che mi parlava dell'India ho capito che in quel momento qualcosa ci stava veramente unendo.
Ieri sera Chiara ha visto le foto e mi ha scritto: "Sono commossa, è come guardarmi con i miei occhi". Io ho vinto. Grazie a te.
Chiara ha un tatuaggio con scritto Take it easy. Vorrei si ricordasse di leggerlo spesso.
The time is now
It would be Manuel's - her boyfriend - present for her 27th birthday.
She sent me this e-mail (some parts have been omitted for privacy):
"(...) I’m going to tell you some things about myself that are not evident: in other words, I'll explain you what I think I am, because these pictures are most of all for myself. (...) Although from the outside it seems that I have everything under control, in actual fact I’m constantly confused and I often have the temptation to pack up and go away (...). I have my extreme ups and downs, I’m never in a static situation. (...)
What I’d like to be impressed of my 27 years are the feelings I have.
I’m living in a sort of timeline...I know exactly what I did, with whom, how, and what I felt. Now I don't write anymore, but you can take me some pictures.

I see me laying on a bed (...) I see me furious in the middle of a brothel -- Born Free M.I.A.
I see me standing, staring the room, full of resolutions - Youth Matishyau or with fake lashes before a night out (...), when selfishness is the best solution to every kind of problem -- Moloko The time is now.
I see the expressions on my face, I make a lot of them, but I never see them. You do.
I'd like that the 6 kg I lost were noticeable, to remind myself that I can be resolute too." How couldn't I be enthusiastic about this "mission"? On the other hand, as it happens for each "mission", there is also the fear of failure: I was afraid not to be able to convey Chiara's eclecticism.
She is beautiful, each time in a different way.
I didn't follow her advice on poses, we didn't listen to the songs she had proposed, but we shut ourselves up at home. With much music. We are two women that during that day bound together as we never did before, although we had hung around with each other.
During a break, while the camera was on the table and we were sipping some tea and eating cocoa-biscuits, she told me about her trip to India...and I realized that something was really binding us together.
Last evening, Chiara saw the pictures and wrote me: "I am touched, it’s like watching myself with my own eyes". I won...thanks to you.
Chiara has a tattoo which says "Take it easy". I'd like her to remind herself to read it often.

Innanzitutto apprezzo moltissimo la condivisione di questa attivita', ma apprezzo ancor di piu' l'amore con la quale sia stata pubblcata. Spesso ci troviamo di fronte a pubblicazioni fotografiche senza uno straccio di descrizione del servizio. Invece in questo caso spiegandone il background la partecipazione risulta molto piacevole.
Poi... che dire.. le foto sono molto belle e danno un senso di intimità che personalmente apprezzo molto nella fotografia.
Continua cosi'. Ed in bocca al lupo per tutto anche a Chiara!
